ABOUT THE BOOK
A world population of 23 billion reside on a thinning coastal belt around the last habitable continent of Dyloquar.
Under the control of a tightly held 470-year regime, the population is divided into three classes: Worker, Breeder, and Scothite. If you can't breed, you work; and if you can't work, you're useless. Those of the commoner classes are subject to strict protocols such as hair length, modesty attire, and an absence of colour.

Until Mim sees a woman breaking every single rule.

What was meant to be another routinely gruelling day of work and sleep, Mim is confronted by strange things, unexplainable things, things that only she can see. When the two realities collide, her eyes open to the truth of the oppressive world she's always known to be normal is anything but, and there's a crisis going on behind the scenes being kept quiet from the commoners - one that even the Scothites are struggling to solve: extinction.

As Mim soon discovers, time is already running out, and the chance to fix things is rapidly declining - along with her obedience to the regime.
